This is a postcard I created from a Luau I attended May 9, 2009. The Luau was in celebrating Lynn Fanini who was retiring from the sheriff's department. Lynn is a retired veteran who served in a special operations unit in the Navy from the 1960's until around 1987. After his military service Lynn work for the sheriff's department until his retirement.

This is a portion of a photo taken in 1954 from a North shore plantation of Oahu. Lynn Fanini and my roommate's family are from this part of Oahu. My roommate Sharene Esias's family worked this plantation and are featured in this photo.

This is Lynn Fanini and his family who hosted the Luau. Lynn and his daughter share their stories of Lynn's military service and lets just say there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Lynn's son is also a veteran who served in Iraq and lost his an arm and leg. I would like to thank Lynn and his family for inviting me to their celebration and for their service to our country.

While working for the Omation studio in San Clemente I have been able to reconnect with my old Marine Corps roommates. The Esias family invited me to a very special Luau in honor of a retired Naval serviceman who was retire May 9, 2009. These photos are the luau and show cases my roommate and her family. Mahalo
